Your HealthHosts hosting already includes essential maintenance and a server-level web application firewall (WAF). This optional service adds further protection within WordPress, website monitoring and scheduled monthly care checks.

An additional firewall helps protect your website by filtering malicious traffic and blocking addresses on Security Ninja’s daily updated blocklist, which covers over 600 million IP addresses linked to abuse.

Weekly plugin updates

We apply plugin updates weekly, check they complete successfully and investigate any problems. These regular checks build on the maintenance already included with your hosting package.

Stronger login protection

Limits on failed login attempts help protect your website against bots repeatedly guessing passwords. Suspicious attempts can trigger temporary blocks, making it harder for automated attacks to access your account.

Security Ninja Pro

We install and configure Security Ninja Pro to suit your website, combining its protection tools in one managed setup. Our team maintains the plugin and reviews its security settings regularly.

Website availability monitoring

We automatically check your website every five minutes and alert our team if it becomes unavailable. This helps us spot problems sooner and investigate them during our normal support hours.

Daily malware scans

Daily automated scans check your website for suspicious files, malicious code and unexpected changes. If an issue is detected, an alert is emailed directly to our team for review and investigation.

Two-factor authentication (2FA)

Add an extra verification step to your website login using an authenticator app or email code. This helps prevent unauthorised access, even if someone manages to obtain your account password.

Vulnerability checks

Regular checks identify known security vulnerabilities affecting WordPress, your plugins and themes. When an issue is flagged, we review the findings and take appropriate action to help protect your website.

Malware removal included

If malware is detected, we act promptly to clean your website and remove malicious code. We also investigate how it got in and address identified weaknesses to help prevent reinfection.

Monthly care summary

Each month, we send a simple summary of updates, scan results and checks completed, including any issues we identified and how we dealt with them. Clear reassurance without technical jargon.

Once a month, we test your main enquiry form, check selected contact and booking links, and review key pages on mobile. Malware removal is included. Other editing or repair work uses your existing support allowance or is quoted separately.
